Chain stoppers stop the chain and take the load off the windlass. They are used to set and ride on the anchor, break free the anchor or to prevent accidental free fall of the anchor while under way.
Also recommended for VW series rope and chain systems to hold the chain while changing over from
rope to chain. Available in 8mm (5/16"), 10mm (3/8"), 13mm (1/2"). Larger versions
are available in the Maxwell Superyacht range of products.

ANCHOR CHAIN TENSIONERS
In order to secure or tighten your anchor into the
bow roller or anchor pocket while your vessel is under way,
Maxwell offers two effective systems. The simple and inexpensive
snap lock shackle and through deck mounting system (A), or the more
sophisticated Ratchet Tensioner System commonly used on larger vessels.

CHAIN SNUBBERS
Chain snubbers are an alternative method of taking
the load off the windlass and are recommended to secure the
anchor while underway. Available in rope versions with chain
clevis hook (C) or snap shackle (D) and in various sizes: 6mm (1/4"), 8mm (5/16"),
10mm( 3/8"), 13mm (1/2").
